The Non Resident Indians can invest in Mutual Fund schemes in India. NRIs need to sought any special approval from authorities such as RBI. They can invest the mutual funds on a repatriable basis or non-repatriable basis. To invest on a repatriable basis one must have a NRE account or FCNR account with a bank in India.
